What are the Black Ops 6 weapons? Call of Duty Black Ops 6 breaks new ground for the storied series, taking us back to the early 1990s. While the Cold War may have just about come to its conclusion, the US became embroiled in another conflict – the Gulf War. When it comes to the sorts of weapons set to feature in the latest CoD, you can expect plenty of familiar firearms from previous games, mixed with some new metal.
If you’re resistant to change, don’t worry. Mainstays like the XM4 and MP5 (now known as the C9) are back, though they’ll be facing stiff competition in the FPS game from the likes of the AS Val – Modern Warfare (2019) vets know how good it was – and the brand new Tanto .22. To learn more about all of the Black Ops 6 weapons and how to unlock them in the Black Ops 6 beta, read on.

Reading through the weapon descriptions on the CoD blog, several new additions have immediately caught our attention: the AMES 85, Jackal PDW, Marine SP, LR 7.62, and GS45.
Boasting “impressive accuracy and a suitable rate of fire,” the AMES 85 has all the makings of an absolute beamer – at least on paper. If it’s already stable out of the box, then all we’ll need to do is bolster its DPS potential and we’re good to go. Likewise, the Jackal PDW’s “great mobility and handling” scream ‘run and gun beast’ at stock.
We can already imagine the Marine SP’s “rapid target acquisition” and “one-shot kill potential” will make it an absolute menace on smaller maps – especially when combined with the new Omnimovement system. The ol’ slide-n-shotty is a time-honored strategy, and the Marine SP sounds like the perfect shotgun for it.
Black Ops 6 introduces more bullet damage zones – eight, in fact – and the LR 7.62 can one-tap enemy combatants by hitting many of them – namely the head (of course), chest, and even the arms. Though it comes with “minimal recoil,” you will have to conquer its “slower handling” if you want to maximize the value of this beast.
Finally, we have the GS45 – a semi-auto pistol that is “unmatched in close-range stopping power.” Though nobody likes to be caught with their handgun out, it sounds like the GS45 will at least give you a fighting chance against heavier weaponry.
