To successfully install Aptana RadRails into Eclipse without installing the full Aptana Studio:
- Install Eclipse if you haven’t already
- In Eclipse go to “Help->Software Updates->Find and Install…”
- Select “Search for new features to install”
- Click the “Next >” button
- Click the “New Remote Site…” button
- Enter “Aptana Studio” for the Name and “http://update.aptana.com/update/studio/3.2/” for the URL
- Click the “OK” button
- Click the “New Remote Site…” button again
- Enter “Aptana RadRails” for the Name and “http://update.aptana.com/install/rails/3.2/” for the URL
- Click the “OK” button
- Click the “Finish” button
Complete the installation by following the instructions and that’s it, you now have a Ruby on Rails IDE.
