Who are the Dragon Age: The Veilguard companions? Any good RPG has you recruiting a diverse roster of adventurers to fight alongside you, complete with their own side quests and motivations. Like previous Dragon Age games, The Veilguard has you chatting away with your fantasy friends on your quest to save Thedas from yet another threat.
The question we all want answered when it comes to RPG game companions, though, is whether you can romance them. In Dragon Age The Veilguard, the answer is a resounding yes. With that in mind, your choice is more important than ever. Think carefully about who you pick as your companions before the Dragon Age The Veilguard release date arrives.
All Dragon Age The Veilguard companions
Here are all the companions in Dragon Age The Veilguard:
- Lace Harding (Scout)
- Davrin (Warden)
- Bellara Lutare (Veil Jumper)
- Neve Gallus (Detective)
- Taash (Dragon Hunter)
- Emmrich Volkarin (Necromancer)
- Lucanis Dellamorte (Mage Killer)
Lace Harding
- Race: Dwarf
- Class: Rogue
- Faction: Inquisition
- Abilities: Seismic Shot, Heavy Draw, Shred, Adrenaline Rush, Soothing Potion
- Voice actor: Ali Hillis
This gorgeous red-headed archer may be our top choice so far… we’re a sucker for auburn hair and freckles. It’s not just her good looks that make Harding the perfect companion though, the dwarven scout also has magical abilities, always handy in tense situations and challenging battles.
Davrin
- Race: Elf
- Class: Warrior
- Faction: Grey Wardens
- Abilities: Battle Cry, Death from Above, Heroic Strike, Assan Strike, In War, Victory
- Voice actor: Ike Amadi
Davrin is a charming monster hunter who comes with the young Griffon he cares for, so, that’s an extra mark in his favor. The monster hunter part might be the more important part to concentrate on, though – you could probably use his expertise.
Bellara Lutare
- Race: Elf
- Class: Mage
- Faction: Veil Jumpers
- Abilities: Fade Bolts, Enfeebling Shot, Replenish, Time Slow, Galvanized Tear
- Voice actor: Jee Young Han
The beautiful Bellara is a Veil Jumper with two valuable traits as a companion. The first is that she’s obsessed with the ancient Elven civilization Elvhenan, which could be helpful when going up against the game’s Elven antagonist. The second, and more significant, is that she is described on the official Dragon Age website as “romantic”, which could be useful for another aspect of the adventure game.
Neve Gallus
- Race: Human
- Class: Mage
- Faction: Shadow Dragons
- Abilities: Icebreaker, Blizzard, Glacial Pace, Time Slow, Replenish
- Voice actor: Jessica Clark
Unlike the bubbly Harding or romantic Bellara, Neve is a little more subdued, as a cynical young detective working towards a better future. She’s also a member of the rebellious Shadow Dragons, and her resolute determination to protect those who need it and bring your enemies to justice are great reasons to have her as a companion.
Taash
- Race: Qunari
- Class: Warrior
- Faction: Lords of Fortune
- Abilities: Fire Breath, Dragon’s Roar, Dragonfire Strike, Spitfire, Fortune’s Favor
- Voice actor: Jin Maley
We can see the strong and striking Taash being another top choice for both utility and romance. This adventurous dragon hunter has all the skills necessary to dominate in combat, with the daring nature of someone we’d love to have as a companion.
Emmrich Volkarin
- Race: Human
- Class: Mage
- Specialization: Necromancer
- Faction: Mourn Watch
- Abilities: Final Rites, Replenish, Entangling Spirits, The Bell Tolls, Time Slow
- Voice actor: Nick Boraine
If you were tempted by Davrin’s Griffon, then how about adding a skeletal assistant to your party? That’s what you get with Emmrich, a spooky but interesting necromancer who himself is followed around by Manfred, a skeleton. The best kind of two-for-one.
Lucanis Dellamorte
- Race: Human
- Class: Rogue
- Specialization: Assassin
- Faction: Antivan Crows
- Abilities: Eviscerate, Abominate, Soothing Potion, Debilitate, Adrenaline Rush
- Voice actor: Zach Mendez
This mysterious assassin might be a great asset to your party in terms of killing ability, but depending on your type, they might not be up there in terms of romance. Lacking social skills, we can expect this dark, handsome, and brooding Antivan Crow to be a little difficult to be around, but perhaps you can change him.
