Where can you find Dr. Doom chests, Avengers Chests, or Stark Industries chests in Fortnite? There are now three types of special chest in Chapter 5 Season 4 of Fortnite, but they're not always easy to find. We've explored the entire map to uncover every special chest location in Fortnite, so you can soon equip Avengers, Doom, or Stark Industries gear to dominate the battlefield.
With Fortnite's special items becoming so powerful they can take down even Dr. Doom at his most powerful, these chests are highly sought after, so make sure to take some of the best Fortnite weapons with you to these Fortnite map locations in case of conflict when you arrive. A tip though – the Stark Industries, or Iron Man chests, are the easiest to get as not everyone knows where they are just yet. We've got you covered, though.
Where are the Iron Man Stark Industries chests in Fortnite?
There are six possible Stark Industries chests in Fortnite. They spawn beside the Stark Industries drop pod locations and they’re guaranteed to spawn, whether the pod has dropped yet or not.
This means they’re fairly easy to find – the drop pod locations are marked by six large hexagons across the map. There’s one to the south-east of Reckless Railways, one to the north-west of Reckless Railways towards Castle Doom, one to the west of The Raft, one between the Nitrodrome and Restored Reels, one to the south-west of Mount Olympus, and one to the north-east of Grim Gate.
Remember, you can head to the location near The Raft to find Iron Man himself too, to get some of the Mythic weapons on offer from him.
Where are the Dr. Doom chests in Fortnite?
There are 23 Dr. Doom chests in Fortnite, and they are guaranteed to spawn in Castle Doom, Doomstadt, and The Raft. There are potential Doom chests at Dig sites throughout the map, and possible spawns at Doom’s Courtyard.
Some chests are also spawned seemingly in the middle of nowhere, at dig sites. They’re protected by a few of Doom’s henchmen, but they’re not too difficult to take down, especially if you’re playing with friends.
The dig site locations that can spawn a Doom chest in Fortnite are:
- Northwest of The Underworld
- Southeast of Doomstadt
- Northeast of Rebel’s Roost
- Northeast of Grand Glacier
- South of Grim Gate
- North of Sandy Steppes
- Northeast of the Nitrodrome
- West of Summit Temple
- East of Brawler’s Battleground
In addition to these locations, you can find Doom chests at certain points of interest, or named locations. These are:
- The Raft
- Doomstadt
- Castle Doom
Castle Doom
Note that at Castle Doom, all of the Dr. Doom chests are guaranteed to spawn. The first Dr. Doom chest spawn is on the top level of the tallest tower at Castle Doom, in the centre slightly to the east. From there, head to the shorter nearby tower to find another Doom chest.
The third Dr. Doom chest can be found at the south of Castle Doom, indoors, next to a large bookcase in the room with all of the statues.
The fourth Dr. Doom chest can be found in the room that Doombot is in, by the side of the large, raised platform that his chair sits on. If you haven’t yet defeated Doombot, you can easily find this chest by following his marker to the room. If you need to return there once he has been defeated to get the chest, it is in the long, main hall at the most northern point.
The fifth Dr. Doom chest can be found to the north-west of Castle Doom, underneath the stairs in the room with a bookcase leaning against the wall.
A sixth Dr. Doom chest can be found nearby, in the large circular tower blowing out ominous red smoke. It’s just by the doorway closest to Castle Doom, on the left-hand side. You can also find normal chests and ammo boxes here, making it a good starting point to descend on Castle Doom with some powerful weapons.
The Raft
The first Doom chest could spawn in the control room at The Raft, located in the center of the area, slightly to the east.
The second potential Doom chest at The Raft could spawn on a set of stairs, on a platform in the north-west tower.
The third Doom chest could spawn inside a locked garage at The Raft. Swim under the lasers, and then use your pickaxe to break the garage door to see if this chest has spawned on the east side of the map.
The fourth Doom chest is inside the tower at the north-east, and the fifth Domo chest is inside the tower at the south-east. The fifth and final Doom chest is inside a cell on the eastern side of The Raft.
All of these Doom chests are guaranteed spawns.
Doomstadt
The first Doom chest will spawn next to the stairs in the building that looks like a control room at the center of the area, to the left.
The second Doom chest spawns nearby, in the south-east corner of the center of the map, underneath the staircase.
Doom’s Courtyard
Sometimes a Doom chest will spawn at Doom’s Courtyard, on a table in between two armchairs. It’s at the far south of the area inside a building.
Another Doom chest might spawn at Doom’s Courtyard in the center of the area, underneath a platform in the center of the cross-shaped pathways.
Where are all of the Avengers chests in Fortnite?
There are 96 Avengers chest potential spawns in Fortnite, primarily located at the named points of interest on the Fortnite map. You will get the highest chance of finding an Avengers chest by landing at Mount Olympus or The Underworld.
Nitrodrome
The first possible spawn point for an Avengers chest in the Nitrodrome is in the south-west bottom room, beside a large crate.
The second possible spawn point for an Avengers chest in the Nitrodrome is on the platform between two rooms, next to the stairs, in the north-east corner of the area.
The third Avengers chest might spawn on a balcony level in the east of the Nitrodrome.
The fourth and fifth Nitrodrome Avengers chests seem close together on the map. They’re in the south of the area, with one being up a ramp near the entrance of the Nitrodrome, and the other being just outside on the balcony near the Nitro-ring which can be used to boost vehicles or your jump.
Reckless Railways
The first Avengers chest spawn possibility in Reckless Railways is on the ledge at the monument structure in the north-east of the area.
The second and third Avengers chests have the possibility of spawning in the warehouse to the north-west of the map, near the Reboot Van.
The fourth possible Avengers chest in Reckless Railways spawns on the ledge at the top of the main room in the station itself.
The fifth Avengers chest has the possibility of spawning by the red house at the south of the area, against a wall around the outside of the house. This chest spawns least frequently, in our experience.
Restored Reels
The first Avengers chest in the Restored Reels could spawn on the upper level of the monument structure near the stairs on the east side of the area.
The second possible Avengers chest in Restored Reels may spawn near the campfire in the structure to the north of the area.
The third Avengers chest in Restored Reels might spawn outside near the dining tables next to the building at the north-west of the area.
The fourth possible Avengers chest in Restored Reels is located down the stairs next to the statue at the south-west corner of the area.
The fifth Avengers chest could spawn near the large pool at the south of Restored Reels.
The Raft
The first Avengers chest that could spawn in The Raft is located on a picnic bench between rooms, and cells, in the south-west corner of the building.
The second Avengers chest at The Raft could spawn outside, next to a boxing punchbag, in the courtyard in the center of the map. It’s the one marked slightly more to the south of the courtyard in our image above.
The third Avengers chest at the Raft is almost directly north of the previous one. It could spawn inside a small locker room as soon as you leave the courtyard area.
Another Avengers chest could spawn in the bunker that will unlock and notify you with a loud siren. It’s just to the south-east of The Raft.
Sandy Steppes
The first Avengers chest could spawn inside the half-ruined building on a ledge at Sandy Steppes. It’s inside the building that appears just to the south of the Sandy Steppes map text.
The second Sandy Steppes Avengers chest could spawn in the lower level of a partly destroyed house, in the sand. It’s located in the north-east area of the map, in the most northeasterly corner of the house.
The third Sandy Steppes Avengers chest may spawn in the far east of the area, on an outside fenced area, next to some boxes and chairs.
Doomstadt
The first Avengers chest at Doomstadt could spawn at the center of the map against a wall indoors. It’s near a vending machine.
The second Avengers chest could spawn slightly to the east of this one, upstairs in the nearby building.
Head to the far north of Doomstadt, inside the room that looks like a store, and head upstairs. The third Avengers chest could spawn in one of these upstairs rooms.
The fourth Avengers chest may spawn in the secret Iron Man shrine, which is located behind a bookcase in a room in the lower west corner of Doomstadt.
A fifth Avengers chest may spawn to the south-west of Doomstadt in a bunker, indicated by a large siren.
Mount Olympus
There could spawn an Avengers chest in the bunker that will unlock and notify players by emitting a loud siren noise. This bunker is to the north-west of Mount Olympus.
Aside from the bunker, there are a further five Avengers chests that could spawn at Mount Olympus. The first can be found by landing through the front of Olympus, in the golden building at the front right. It’ll show as the south-west building on the map. Head up either staircase inside to find the first Avengers chest.
Head out of the door, turn left, go up the stairs, and mantle up. Turn right and you’ll face a pool with three pillars. The second Avengers chest at Mount Olympus will spawn in front of the middle pillar.
Turn left, head up the stairs, and turn right to find the third Avengers chest. From there, run up the stairs into the main room in front of the big statue. Indoors, up the stairs, it will appear to the right behind a pillar.
The fifth and final Mount Olympus Avengers chest is located outside and far away from the main buildings, on the east of the map. It’s near a pool, leaned up against a pillar similar to the third Avengers chest.
Castle Doom
There are four potential Avengers chest spawn locations at Castle Doom. Unlike the Doom chests at this location, these are not guaranteed spawns.
The first Avengers chest is located in the attic of the large, green-roofed building to the south of Castle Doom, right by the map text.
To find the second potential Avengers chest, climb the scaffolding outside the building in the centre of the map, to the north of the chest you’ve just come from. Hit the crack in the wall to open it further, and the chest will be behind a PC desk.
From the previous chest, exit the room via the broken wall you came in through, head to the left and jump up on to the castle platform. Follow the platform around until you find a drop down area where the third potential Avengers chest could have spawned.
Finally, head right to the north of Castle Doom, in the northernmost window you may find a fourth Avengers chest has spawned.
The Underworld
There are six possible Avengers chests in The Underworld, making it an efficient place to land if you want to claim a bunch at once.
The first chest can be reached by flying into the south of The Underworld. The Avengers chest will be on a platform.
Follow the river to the east, around the cliff, and up the building. Drop down again into the water-filled area to find the second Avengers chest in the Underworld.
The third Avengers chest may spawn directly west from here. Follow the waterway through the corridors, and to the left you may find a chest under the staircase.
From here, head all the way up to the top of the same structure. The fourth Avengers chest is at the top in the room.
Drop down and head outside, past the rock formations to the west of the buildings. Find the soldier statue, and at its feet you may find a fifth Avengers chest.
Brutal Beachhead
There are five potential Avengers chests to be found in Fortnite’s Brutal Beachhead. The first can be located at the north of the ship, or the bow. The Avengers chest will be in plain site, leaning against a shipping container.
The second Avengers chest at Brutal Beachhead can be found by heading down the nearby zipline. Run to the building nearby, and enter the nearest doorway. The chest will be on a box next to some storage shelves.
The third Avengers chest can be found by heading back to the ship, inside the door at ground level. It’ll be on a box similar to the previous chest.
The fourth Avengers chest can be found by running to the back, or stern, of the ship and taking the zipline up.
From there, jump up the crates to the next platform and go through the nearby door and up the stairs to find the fifth, and final, Avengers chest that could spawn at Brutal Beachhead.
Grand Glacier
There are a total of five potential Avengers chests that could spawn at Grand Glacier. The first can be found by landing in the outdoor area at the foot of the deer made of foliage.
Head inside the main building, past the large staircase, and through the door into the disused storage room to find the second potential Avengers chest.
The third Avengers chest can be found by heading to the front of the building and towards the images on the wall that look like an art gallery. The chest will spawn here between two benches.
The fourth Avengers chest is on the second floor, through the bedroom. Jump across the hall to the other side of the second floor, and in another disused room you may find the fifth Avengers chest at Grand Glacier.
Redline Rig
There are five Avengers chests that may spawn at Redline Rig. The first one can be found by landing at the separated building in the north-east corner of Redline Rig. It’ll be on the middle floor, on the balcony running around the room.
To find the second potential Avengers chest, head to the north-east corner of the main building at Redline Rig. It’s most efficient to get here by using the zipline. Head inside the building and you should see the Avengers chest.
Run down the corridor, and jump off the balcony of the building on to the nearby containers to find the third Avengers chest at Redline Rig.
The fourth Avengers chest should spawn inside the main building at ground level, on the staircase directly front and left of you.
It’s important to note that there is currently a secret chest here which appears to be bugged, but we are counting it as the fifth Avengers chest in this location due to the loot that it rewards and the ‘+250XP Avengers chest’ message that appears. Head outside to the large muddy area to the west of Redline Rig. Look at the ground, and you’ll spot the shining chest logo. You can keep looking down to get the prompt to loot the chest.
Rebel’s Roost
There are a possible five chests to get at Rebel’s Roost. They are the fastest chests to get in the game, making Rebel’s Roost a good spot to land to gear up early on. Be careful though – it’s a hot spot for landing because of this.
The first chest can be reached by landing outside, just near the boundary wall of Rebel’s Roost. The Avengers chest will be visible from the sky if it has spawned. If it hasn’t, you can land closer to the main building.
The second Avenger’s chest can be found by turning towards the house and climbing through the rightmost window, where the chest will be if it has spawned.
The third Avengers chest may be found by turning around, passing the graffiti wall, and opening the door facing you.
The fourth Avengers chest can be found by turning right, then left, and heading up the stairs. Turn around to face the landing and jump across the barrier to reach the chest.
The fifth Avengers chest at Rebel’s Roost is found by jumping back to the top of the stairs, through the door to your left, and on top of the table.
Brawler’s Battleground
There are five potential Avengers chests that could spawn at Brawler’s Battleground. The first may spawn on the exposed area outside the building at the north-west corner of the area.
The second Avengers chest can be found by heading south of the first chest, into the left-hand corridor of the square-shaped building with hollow courtyard area. It’ll be resting against a long sofa.
The third Avengers chest at Brawler’s Battleground can be found by running past the Minotaur head outdoors to the half-covered semicircle area. The Avengers chest will be resting against some khaki green storage containers.
The fourth Avengers chest may spawn nearby, to the east of the area, inside the building. Head up the stairs and it’ll be facing you, but you can usually see if this chest has spawned by the golden glow on the landing as you approach it.
The fifth and final Avengers chest is back at the front-right, or north-eastern corner building, in the room with multiple statues.
Grim Gate
There are five potential Avengers chest spawn locations in Grim Gate, although there is an additional chest that may spawn in a bunker to the west of the area. This will be signified by a large siren, so if you time your landing at Grim’s Gate well, you could get six in this area.
Land at the west-most point of Grim Gate to find the first Avengers chest. It’ll be on a table near to the small pool.
The second Avengers chest at Grim Gate can be found by heading forward and right along the wall.
The third Avengers chest is reached by leaving that area, heading west, and going outside. Then, turn north and find the third chest resting against the outside wall of the pathway.
The fourth Avengers chest is found by heading east, up the stairs, and to the left. Inside the bedroom, on the bed, is the fourth Avengers chest.
The fifth chest can be found in the center of the map by jetpacking up to a walkway between the two towers.
