Genshin Impact 5.1 release date
The Genshin Impact 5.1 release date should be October 9, 2024, if this follows the usual six-week schedule of updates for the gacha game. We’re currently in phase two of the large 5.0 update that introduced the new Natlan region alongside new quests and characters.
While the next update won’t be as big as the 5.0 update, we can still expect new quests and a brand new five-star character. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for the announcement of the 5.1 livestream date and update this guide once we know more.
Genshin Impact 5.1 characters
According to a leak from Genshin Intel, Xilonen is the next character to feature on the upcoming 5.1 banner. We first saw this character in a teaser trailer above, and she has been officially announced by Hoyoverse, which usually means that character will be featured in the next update.

Genshin Impact 5.1 events
The same Genshin Intel leak also appears to confirm Candace can be earned for free through participating in the Sabzeruz Festival. You’ll also be able to play through Act III, IV of the Natlan story.

The Imaginarium Theater characters have seemingly leaked too, with the opening characters rumored to be: Klee, Xinyan, Yae Miko, Dori, Tighnari, and Kirara. The special characters are: Qiqi, Xingqiu, Layla, and Xilonen potentially being the fourth.
